A pair of antique covered, teal colored footed incense jars with burnt orange trim. The burnt orange vented lids have dragon knobs on top (one has been damaged and repaired) and there are burnt orange dragons on each side of the bodies, the gold on these are showing wear. The burnt orange feet are highlighted with gold. The fan shaped medallions on one side of each show Japanese figures, and a black trimmed oval medallion on the other side show swags, flowers and birds.

Antique Chinese Fan

Rare and embroidered antique Chinese fan. Both sides are embroidered, but with a different scene, the same theme of birds and flowers, but different. Each is so vibrant it is hard to believe this fan is so very old.

The ebony sticks are hand painted with gold flowers and birds

The length is approximately 11” long and opens to approx. 19.5”.

There is a small wire through the bottom so you could hand it up if needed, this is embellished with two (reddish pink and blue) silk knobs.

This beautiful object fits perfectly into a fitted ebony box or case, lined with red tissue, hand painted with flowers and birds.
The whole case is hand painted in gold and has a closing button that closes it tight so the fan is safe when inside.
